St John's Cathedral Brisbane

St John’s Cathedral Brisbane - choir and clergy stalls -based on a fifteenth century English cathedral design and carved with brilliant artistic complexity in North Queensland silk wood. Queensland wood carver and his son, Colin Blumson Senior and Junior worked on these choir stalls from the 1950s to the 1990s. The figures in the stalls on the southside represent pioneering Anglican bishops of the nineteenth century while the figures on the northside represent patron saints of Anglican Church schools.
